FAQS
Sweat tests: are they useful?
Short answer: they can be interesting, but they don’t tell the whole story.
Sweat tests usually reflect what happens in the first hour in a controlled setting. In real endurance conditions, your body adjusts over time using built-in regulation systems.
A key hormone here is aldosterone, which helps the body conserve and recirculate sodium (mainly via the kidneys) when losses are high. If athletes consume too much sodium, that process can be disrupted, leading to:
- fluid retention (swelling/edema)
- higher blood pressure
- increased sodium excretion
- performance issues (and potentially health risk)
If you finish exercise with swollen hands/feet or lots of salt stains, your sodium intake may have been too high.
Bottom line: replacing sodium exactly “hour for hour” based on a sweat test often backfires.
Endurolytes vs Endurolytes Fizz: what’s in them?
Endurolytes (1 capsule):
- Sodium 40 mg (as sodium chloride)
- Chloride 60 mg (as sodium chloride)
- Calcium 50 mg (chelate)
- Magnesium 25 mg (chelate)
- Potassium 25 mg (chelate)
- Manganese 1 mg
Endurolytes Fizz (1 tablet):
- Sodium 200 mg (as sodium bicarbonate)
- Chloride 60 mg (as calcium chloride)
- Calcium 100 mg (as calcium carbonate + calcium chloride)
- Magnesium 50 mg (as magnesium oxide)
- Potassium 100 mg (as potassium bicarbonate)
- Vitamin B6 13 mg (as pyridoxine HCL)
- Manganese 3 mg (as manganese gluconate)
Why the mineral forms differ:
Fizz needs bicarbonates and certain mineral forms to create fast dissolving effervescence without making the tablet huge.
Will Endurolytes Fizz affect blood sugar?
Very unlikely. It uses very small amounts of stevia and monk fruit. There’s also a trace amount of sorbitol, with minimal effect.
How much of each mineral is in one tablet?
- Calcium: 100 mg
- Magnesium: 50 mg
- Sodium: 200 mg
- Chloride: 60 mg
- Potassium: 100 mg
- Manganese: 3 mg
What’s the pH of Endurolytes Fizz?
Around pH 8 or slightly higher (alkaline).
Is it okay for children?
Yes — it’s a low-sodium, full-spectrum electrolyte option and typically a better choice than high-sugar sports drinks.
Does it contain animal ingredients?
No. Endurolytes Fizz is 100% vegan-friendly.
How should I store it?
In hot/humid conditions the tablets can get sticky. Store tubes or packets in the refrigerator if needed.
Citric acid: which Endurolytes products contain the least?
Only Endurolytes Fizz and Endurolytes Extreme (capsules) contain citric acid (Fizz uses minimal amounts to support the effervescent reaction).
Is Endurolytes Extreme powder carbonated?
No. It dissolves well but does not fizz/carbonate
Do I need to take Endurolytes Fizz with Perpetuem?
Yes, you will need to take one of the Endurolytes products with Perpetuem. Although there are some minerals that occur in Perpetuem, they reflect the mineral content of some of the ingredients in the product. There is not an intentionally designed full-spectrum electrolyte blend included in Perpetuem, as there is in HEED. That's why, though you see some mineral content in Perpetuem, the product should be treated as a “calories only” fuel, with any one of the Endurolytes covering your electrolytic mineral needs separately.
Can endurolytes fizz be made then put in the refrigerator for later consumption? Yes, this practice is acceptable, though we suggest consuming it within a 24–36-hour period due to possible (key word "possible") loss of potency with the mineral components. Additionally, after "X" amount of time, the effervescence will be gone, and the drink will taste flat.
Why do you use sorbitol in endurolytes fizz?
A: On average, each Endurolytes FIZZ tablet contains approximately 500 mg of the polyol (sugar alcohol) known as sorbitol. Sorbitol is NOT an artificial sweetener; it is naturally produced in the human body and is found in a variety of foods. The reasons why we use sorbitol in Endurolytes FIZZ are:
- It’s an undeniably better choice than an artificial sweetener like Acesulfame K or Aspartame.
-
Unlike xylitol, another natural sweetener, which we use in HEED and Recoverite, sorbitol exhibits excellent tablet binding properties without impeding the effervescent reaction process
Are Endurolytes Fizz safe to use when pregnant?
As none of us at Hammer Nutrition are medical professionals, and because we do not know your medical history, you will always want to discuss the use of any supplement or fuel with your doctor prior to using it.
Can Endurolytes Fizz affect my blood sugar?
Very unlikely. Stevia and monk fruit are natural sweeteners used in very small amounts in Endurolytes Fizz, and neither affect blood sugar levels There is also a fractional amount of sorbitol in Endurolytes Fizz and its effects on blood sugar is extremely minimal. In fact, sorbitol may be useful as an alternative to sugar for people with diabetes as it significantly reduces the rise in blood glucose and the insulin response associated with the ingestion of glucose.
Do any of the Endurolyte products have exposure to allergens?
Q: Do any of the Endurolyte products have exposure to allergens, specifically tree nuts?
A: All Endurolytes products are produced in a facility free from tree nuts and allergens, and are 3rd party batch tested for purity and consistency.
MIXING INSTRUCTIONS:
How to use Endurolytes FizzUse before, during, and after training to support hydration and electrolyte needs, especially when:
1. Exercise lasts more than 2 hours (any conditions), or
2. Exercise lasts less than 2 hours and:
o Temperature is above 26°C, and/or humidity above 70%, or
o Conditions are 10°C+ hotter than you’re accustomed to
Add 1 or more tablets to your bottle, let dissolve fully, and drink as needed.

Important notes
- Individual needs vary (body weight, fitness, weather, acclimatisation, genetics)
- Fizz does not prevent heat stroke, hyponatremia, or heat illness
- 10 calories per tablet (not a significant calorie source)
- Your usual dietary salt intake affects how much you may need during exercise
INGREDIENT BREAKDOWN
Full-Spectrum Electrolyte Profile – This complete profile contains the following minerals:
Sodium Bicarbonate – A well-absorbed source of sodium, selected for its high dissolution rate. Bicarbonates are also used to aid digestion and help alleviate stomach distress.
Calcium Chloride – An easily dissolvable source of both calcium and chloride.
Calcium Carbonate – Chelated to carbonate (a salt of carbonic acid), calcium carbonate is a source of easily dissolvable calcium.
Magnesium Oxide – A rich source of easily dissolvable magnesium.
Potassium Bicarbonate – A colourless, odourless compound selected for its high dissolution rate. Bicarbonates are also used to aid digestion and help alleviate stomach distress.
Natural Caffeine – COLA FLAVOUR ONLY – Derived from green tea extract.
Manganese – This trace mineral is necessary for optimal muscle cell enzyme reactions and for the conversion of fatty acids and protein into energy.
Vitamin B6 – This water-soluble vitamin plays an active role in maintaining sodium-potassium balance. It also supports the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats, and protein.
Citric Acid – Used in the minimal amounts needed to aid the reaction process that creates carbon dioxide, the gas which gives the product its effervescence.
Sorbitol – A natural, calorie-free sweetener.
Stevia – A natural, calorie-free sweetener derived from the leaves of Stevia rebaudiana, a plant native to Central and South America. It does not affect blood sugar levels or contribute to tooth decay in the way sugar does.
Avocado Oil – A healthy oil used as a tablet-pressing lubricant.
Monk Fruit – A natural, calorie-free sweetener that does not affect insulin production. The sweetness from monk fruit does not come from natural sugars, as it does in most fruits, but instead from naturally occurring antioxidants called mogrosides.
