What Is Informed Sport?
Informed Sport is a globally recognised third-party testing programme that certifies sports nutrition products for banned substances. Every batch of a certified product is tested by a WADA-accredited laboratory before it goes to market.
For competitive athletes subject to anti-doping rules — whether in triathlon, cycling, running or any other endurance discipline — Informed Sport certification provides an important additional layer of confidence that the products they use are clean.
Why Does It Matter?
Even with the highest manufacturing standards, contamination can occur at any point in the supply chain. Informed Sport certification means that every batch has been independently tested — not just the formula — giving athletes the assurance they need to compete with confidence.
At Hammer Nutrition, we already manufacture to GMP and SQF-certified standards. Informed Sport certification is an additional step we take for our electrolyte range, which is most commonly used by competitive athletes during training and racing.

What About the Rest of the Hammer Nutrition Range?
Not all Hammer Nutrition products are submitted for Informed Sport certification. The programme carries a significant per-batch cost, and submitting every product in our range would not be commercially viable.
However, this does not mean our other products are any less rigorously produced. Every Hammer Nutrition product — regardless of Informed Sport status — is manufactured in GMP and SQF-certified facilities, using carefully selected premium ingredients and strict quality control processes. We have maintained these standards for nearly four decades, and our commitment to clean, effective nutrition applies across our entire range.
We prioritise Informed Sport submission for the products most likely to be used by competitive athletes in regulated sport, where the additional independent verification is most valuable.
