Why do I feel a tingling sensation on my face?
Q: I feel a tingling sensation on my face shortly after taking a dose of Fully Charged. What is happening?
A: This happens because Fully Charged contains beta-alanine. This amino acid is converted in the body to carnosine, which helps buffer acid and support pH balance. When your body first starts to metabolise it, it can cause a mild tingling sensation, usually on the face. This is normal, natural and harmless, and it usually lasts only 3 to 5 minutes.
What does Manufacture Date or MFG mean?
Hammer Nutrition supplements show a Manufacture Date on the label, marked as MFG.
You do not need to worry about the quality or freshness of the product, provided it is less than four years old from the MFG date shown on the bottle or label, and has been stored away from excessive heat and sunlight.

Is taurine a stimulant?
Q: I see taurine in lots of energy drinks that also contain stimulants. Is taurine a stimulant? Is it safe?
A: No, taurine is not a stimulant.
Taurine is an amino acid found in Fully Charged and Cherry Bomb HEED. It has sometimes been misunderstood because it often appears in canned energy drinks that also contain large amounts of caffeine and other unwanted stimulants. In those products, taurine is usually just one ingredient among many.
Taurine is included in Fully Charged and Cherry Bomb HEED because it may help support focus, alertness and concentration. It also plays many important roles in the body and has been widely recognised for its value in cell development, nutrition and survival.
General health
Taurine may help support overall health in several ways, including:
- supporting healthy blood sugar balance
- helping protect heart function
- supporting healthy blood pressure and circulation
- helping maintain eye health
- supporting liver health
Athletic performance
Taurine may also help support performance by:
- reducing fatigue
- increasing VO2 max
- improving muscle and heart contractility

Will there ever be another flavour apart from Tart Cherry?
Possibly, but only if the tart cherry extract were removed from the formula.
At the moment, that is not something we want to do, because tart cherry extract is a key ingredient in Fully Charged and is highly effective for helping reduce aches and soreness. The challenge is that tart cherry extract has a very strong flavour, so it is difficult to mask completely.
To make the taste more balanced, natural cherry flavour has been added, along with small amounts of Fibersol®-2 AG and tapioca maltodextrin to soften the tart cherry flavour.
How do I stay alert at night during ultra-distance events?
If you are racing an ultra-distance event, especially overnight, here are four safe and effective options that can be used together:
1. Fully Charged
Take 1 serving every 3 to 4 hours. It contains taurine and tyrosine, which help support focus, alertness and concentration without stimulating the nervous system. It also contains a small amount of caffeine from green tea extract — around 10 to 15 mg per serving.
2. Endurance BCAA+
Take 1 to 2 capsules before the race and then each hour during the event. The branched-chain amino acids may help reduce both mental and physical fatigue.
3. Super Antioxidant
Take 1 capsule every 1 to 2 hours during the night. Ingredients such as Ginkgo biloba and vinpocetine may help support circulation, antioxidant protection and alertness.
4. Caffeinated Hammer Gel
Use a caffeinated version occasionally.
- Espresso Hammer Gel contains 50 mg of caffeine per serving
- Tropical Hammer Gel contains 25 mg of caffeine per serving

How long will my delivery take and how much does it cost?
Orders placed before 2:00 PM (UK time) are dispatched the same working day. Standard delivery to mainland Great Britain takes 2–5 days at a flat rate of £3.50, or free on orders over £10.
Large tubs are automatically upgraded to DPD next-day delivery. Shipping to Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, and the Scottish Highlands costs £4.50, or free on orders over £80.
Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?
Because we process and dispatch orders quickly, we are usually unable to modify products, delivery methods, or addresses after submission.
To cancel an order, you must contact us on the same calendar day it was placed. If dispatch has already occurred, you can return the unused items within 14 days at your own shipping expense.
What is your returns policy if I change my mind?
You have 14 days from the day after delivery to cancel your order. Items must be unused, in their original packaging, and in resaleable condition. Important Step:
You must email info@hammernutrition.co.uk first to obtain a Returns Authorisation Number and a free Royal Mail returns sticker; unauthorised returns cannot be processed.
Note that opened, sealed supplements cannot be returned for hygiene reasons.
What should I do if my order is damaged, faulty, or incorrect?
Check your parcel immediately upon arrival. If there is an issue, notify us within 48 hours of delivery at info@hammernutrition.co.uk.
Please include your order number, a description of the issue, and photos of the damaged items and packaging. We will provide a free replacement or full refund.
How long do refunds take to process?
Once your return is received, inspected, and approved, we process refunds back to your original payment method (card, PayPal, or bank transfer).
