Built for endurance beyond 3 hours
Perpetuem is designed to meet your body’s energy needs when exercise lasts longer than three hours.
Its unique blend — complex carbohydrates, protein, healthy fat, and key support nutrients — helps you stay strong and steady from start to finish.
Thoroughly tested in some of the world’s toughest events since 2002, Perpetuem has now been upgraded by replacing corn maltodextrin with tapioca maltodextrin.
They sound similar, but nutritionally they’re worlds apart.
WHATS NEW IN PERPETUEM 2.0:
Tapioca maltodextrin is:
- Less processed
- Naturally non-GMO
- Lower in sodium
- Higher in naturally occurring potassium
- More alkaline (higher pH)
- Lower in short-chain sugars
- Higher in long-chain complex carbohydrates (lower DE)
You still get fast usable energy — just with smoother, longer-lasting endurance support.
Whether you’ve been using Perpetuem for years or you’re trying it for the first time, you’ll notice the difference.
Advantages of tapioca maltodextrin
1) Less processing
Tapioca requires far less processing than corn.
2) Naturally non-GMO
Tapioca is naturally non-GMO, so it removes the corn/GMO admin entirely.
3) Better sodium/potassium balance
Naturally lower sodium and higher potassium — a genuine plus for most athletes.
4) More alkaline
Endurance athletes become more acidic during long exercise, so a more alkaline fuel is a real advantage.
5) More complex carbs (lower DE)
Lower Dextrose Equivalent means fewer short-chain sugars and more long-chain complex carbs for steadier energy.
6) Same glycaemic index
You still get the fast energy you’re looking for.
HOW TO USE:
1–2 scoops per hour (as your main calorie source)
Option 1: One-hour bottle
Add 1–2 scoops to 16–26 oz (473–768 ml) water.
Best when resupply is easy (lap courses, support crew, or refuelling stops).
Option 2: Multi-hour bottle
Mix 2–8 scoops in one bottle.
Sip every 15–20 minutes.
Use additional water and electrolytes separately to meet your hydration needs.
Option 3: Paste (concentrate)
Gradually add water to 2–4 scoops until thick and paste-like.
Fill a Hammer Flask (or similar).
One flask usually provides 2–3 hours of fuel.
Pro tips
- For sessions 3+ hours, start with Perpetuem from the outset.
- No artificial preservatives — avoid premixing and leaving warm for long periods.

FAQ's :
When should I use HEED vs Perpetuem 2.0?
HEED is a carbohydrate-only drink mix for exercise up to 2–3 hours.
Perpetuem 2.0 is a carb + protein + healthy fat drink mix for longer sessions and races.
Protein helps cover the 10–15% of energy demand that must come from amino acids during long exercise. Without it, the body is more likely to break down lean muscle, increasing fatigue and slowing recovery.
The healthy fat helps signal that fat is available, supporting more consistent fat-burning during endurance efforts.
What’s the benefit of a multi-hour bottle?
Many athletes don’t want to drink large volumes of flavoured liquid hour after hour.
A multi-hour bottle lets you:
- drink less volume of flavoured fuel
- use plain water separately (often quenches thirst better)
- save time by not remixing every hour
Top tip: mark your bottle into 4 equal segments with a permanent marker so you know how much to drink each hour.
Mixing for hot weather
- Mild-to-warm: mix the night before and freeze.
- Hot: freeze the first bottle; keep the second ready (frozen or powder-only depending on conditions).
- Very hot: carry one frozen bottle; keep the next bottle as dry powder and mix with cold water when needed.
How long does a mixed bottle last?
- Moderate temperatures: up to 5 hours (sometimes longer)
- Warm/hot: can be as short as 2 hours
- Freezing extends palatability significantly
How do I prevent clumping?
Start with about one third water first, then add powder gradually:
water → powder → shake → repeat
This is especially important for multi-hour bottles.
Can I premix and refrigerate?
Yes. For best results, consume within 48 hours once mixed.
Freezing is also fine.
If you see crystals near the top (from L-carnitine), that’s normal and harmless.
Where does the iron come from?
The 1 mg of iron (per 2-scoop serving) naturally comes from the soy protein and soy lecithin. No iron is added.
