 Why it matters

 Electrolyte needs can vary massively between athletes — sometimes 10x difference. That’s why “one-size-fits-all” sports drinks can miss the mark.

With capsules, you can adjust on the fly without accidentally overdoing fluids or salt.

Sodium is important — but sodium alone can’t fully replace what you lose in sweat. Too much sodium (without the rest) can also leave you feeling off and may cause unwanted fluid retention for some athletes.

 HOW TO USE:

Use before, during, and after training/racing to match your needs.

Use as needed, especially when:

  • Exercise lasts over 2 hours (any conditions), or
  • Exercise is under 2 hours but:
    • Temperature is above 80°F / 27°C and/or humidity is 70%+, or
    • Conditions are 10°F / 6°C+ hotter (or more humid) than you’re used to.

Capsule schedule

  • Before: 1–3 capsules 10–30 min before exercise
  • During: 1–6 capsules per hour as needed
  • After: 1–3 capsules immediately after

Hot conditions shortcut: 1 capsule hourly, up to 1 capsule every 20 minutes if needed.

Important notes

  • Your needs depend on: body size, fitness, weather, acclimation, sweat rate, and genetics. Test your plan in training.
  • These capsules do not prevent heat stroke, hyponatremia, or heat illness. Pacing and hydration still matter.
  • Your usual daily salt intake affects what you’ll want during exercise. If you eat high-salt day-to-day, you may need a higher hourly dose or consider Endurolytes Extreme.
