WHAT IS RECOVERITE 2.0?
A highly effective recovery formula built around:
- 3:1 ratio of complex carbohydrates to premium whey protein isolate
- 3g L-glutamine
- Recovery-supporting nutrients + full-spectrum electrolytes
- Made to help you recover better so you can train again sooner
Why the switch to tapioca-derived maltodextrin?
Recoverite used to use corn-derived maltodextrin (which was already good). The move to tapioca (cassava root) maltodextrin brings a handful of real-world benefits:
- Less processing than corn
- Naturally non-GMO (corn is the one that causes the paperwork headaches)
-
Lower sodium + higher naturally occurring potassium
(Most people already get plenty of sodium; potassium is often the missing piece) -
More alkaline pH
Useful because hard exercise makes you more acidic internally -
Lower DE (Dextrose Equivalent)
Meaning fewer short sugars and more true complex carbs for steadier, longer-lasting energy - Same Glycemic Index as other maltodextrins
So you still get the fast recovery carbs you want
HOW TO USE:
Mix 2 scoops in 120–240 ml's of water.
Drink immediately after exercise.
If you can’t eat a full meal within 1 hour, take a second serving
Pro tips (these matter)
-
Don’t mix with milk/milk substitutes
It changes the carb-to-protein ratio and can slow digestion. -
Don’t mix in advance
Best taste, best performance when fresh.
INGREDIENT BREAKDOWN:
Here’s what’s doing the heavy lifting:
Carbs (replenish glycogen)
- Tapioca maltodextrin (2.0): less processed, non-GMO, lower sodium, more potassium, more “complex” carb profile
Protein (repair + immune support)
- Whey protein isolate: highly bioavailable amino acids for muscle repair + immune support, with anti-inflammatory benefits
Recovery boosters
- L-Glutamine (3g): supports glycogen synthesis, muscle repair, glutathione (immune antioxidant), digestion, and growth hormone release
- Chromium chelate: supports blood sugar regulation and helps push carbs into glycogen storage
- L-Carnosine: buffers lactic acid and provides antioxidant support
- Glycine: helps tissue repair, supports joints/collagen, and improves flavour naturally
- Manganese: supports antioxidant production (SOD)
Electrolytes (replace what you sweat out)
- Full-spectrum sodium, chloride, calcium, magnesium, potassium
Sweeteners (and the dog warning)
-
Xylitol: supports oral health (doesn’t feed tooth-decay bacteria)
Important: believed unsafe for dogs—don’t give to pets. - Stevia: non-caloric, doesn’t affect blood sugar, also tooth-friendly
Please note: Since xylitol may be unsafe for dogs, don’t let pets have Recoverite (or other xylitol-containing products).
WHY PAY THE PREMIUM:
1) Premium protein: Whey Protein Isolate
Most cheaper recovery drinks use lower-grade proteins (or blends padded out with cheaper forms). Whey isolate is a more refined, more bioavailable protein—better amino acid delivery for muscle repair + immune support, and typically easier to digest. Hammer Whey protein is also Grass Fed.
2) Better carb source: Tapioca-derived maltodextrin
Switching to tapioca isn’t a marketing gimmick. It’s chosen because it’s:
- Less processed
- Naturally non-GMO
- Often lower sodium / higher potassium
- And has a lower DE, meaning a more “complex” carb profile
That kind of sourcing and spec isn’t the bargain-bin option.
3) Extra recovery support you don’t usually get
Recoverite 2.0 isn’t just “carbs + protein”:
- 3g L-glutamine
- Chromium chelate
- L-carnosine
- Glycine
- Manganese
- Plus a full-spectrum electrolyte profile
Each of those adds cost, but they’re there for a purpose: better glycogen restoration, muscle repair, buffering, antioxidant support, and mineral replenishment.
4) Full-spectrum electrolytes (not just salt)
Many products sprinkle in sodium and call it “electrolytes.” Recoverite includes a broader mineral profile (sodium, chloride, calcium, magnesium, potassium), which costs more and performs better when training is frequent, long, or sweaty.
5) Flavour and sweetening that doesn’t wreck the formula
It’s designed to be delicious without turning into a sugar bomb, using sweeteners like xylitol and stevia rather than loading it with cheap sugars. Done right, that costs more
